These are all just zbrush doodles and studies. Nothing fancy or entertaining, just a way of learning. Process rather than result. Most are copied from photographs, many others from other peoples concept work found on conceptart.org or similar. I can’t credit them all but likewise I don’t claim credit for for any of the ideas other than the first three. Most took between 1 and 2 hours in the morning or at dinner time, except Johnny, who took quite a bit more.
Learning Mudbox, I resculpted a head I’d made for an old project.
My first Zbrush sculpt. This is when I fell in love with the tool.
A female bust. All the simple busts start out as the low res base mesh shown here.

Samuel Beckett
Robbie Coltrane. It’s never a good sign when you need to give their name.

Johnny Alpha (Strontium Dog), based on the artwork of Carlos Esquerra. While this was a test piece to look at workflows between Zbrush and Lightwave, the first comic I’d ever bought religiously was Starlord .. which later merged with 2000AD and provided the latter with many new and iconic characters.
